BREAKING: Allan Okello Leaves Young Africans for Moroccan Giants
Uganda Cranes playmaker Allan Okello has left Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat have beaten rivals Wydad Casablanca to the signing of Uganda Cranes playmaker Allan Okello.
Wydad had shown interest in signing Okello and reportedly submitted a $700,000 bid, which was rejected by Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
AS FAR then moved swiftly and reportedly paid $1.5 million to secure Okello’s transfer.
Okello scored 14 goals and registered eight assists during the second half of the 2025/26 season at Young Africans.
Despite joining the club midway through the campaign, the Ugandan midfielder finished the season as Young Africans’ top scorer, a performance that attracted interest from several Moroccan clubs.
Okello will reunite with coach Pedro Goncalves at AS FAR, having worked with the Portuguese tactician during his time at Young Africans.
The move to AS FAR will be Okello’s second stint in North Africa, having previously played for Algerian side Paradou AC.
