BREAKING: Arsenal Fan Allegedly Killed in Clash Following Premier League Celebrations in Kampala
An Arsenal F.C. supporter was allegedly killed in Kampala following celebrations after Arsenal were officially crowned 2025/26 English Premier League champions on Sunday, May 24, ending the club’s 22-year wait for the title after finishing top of the table with 85 points.
In a statement released by the Uganda Police Force, police confirmed that investigations are underway into a murder incident that occurred on May 24, 2026, at around 6:30pm in Bakuli, Kampala Central Division.
The deceased was identified as Denis, a 34-year-old boda boda rider and resident of Bakuli.
According to preliminary findings, Denis, who was reportedly an Arsenal supporter, got into a misunderstanding with a suspect identified only as Musiramu, who is alleged to be a supporter of Manchester United F.C..
Police say the disagreement escalated into a physical altercation during which the suspect allegedly struck Denis on the head, causing him to collapse and die instantly.
Efforts to apprehend the suspect are currently ongoing.
The body of the deceased was taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination as investigations continue.
