Two bottom-placed sides, Calvary FC and Buhimba FC, suffered defeats on Wednesday in Matchday 26 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, further denting their relegation survival hopes.
Calvary fell 2-0 to Entebbe UPPC in Bugonga, while Buhimba lost by the same scoreline to Lugazi FC at home in Hoima.
Both teams remain in the relegation zone, with Calvary in 16th place on 13 points and Buhimba 15th with 15 points, seven and five points adrift of safety respectively with four games remaining.
Ambrose Kigozi and Issa Bugembe scored in the first half to guide Entebbe UPPC to a 2-0 victory over Calvary, helping them return to winning ways after a 3-0 loss to Vipers SC in their previous match.

Kigozi’s goal, converted from the penalty spot, took his tally to 11 league goals, making him the joint top scorer alongside Ivan Ahimbisibwe.
Having completed a league double over Calvary, Entebbe UPPC move up to seventh place with 43 points.
In Hoima, Buhimba suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Lugazi FC. Freedom Mungudit opened the scoring early in the first half, while Hamza Mulambuzi sealed the win with a late second-half goal.
The victory lifts Lugazi to 12th place with 23 points, eight clear of the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Charles Bbaale and Brian Obedi found the net as Police FC defeated UPDF FC 2-0 at Kamwokya.
Matchday 26 continues this evening with one fixture, as table leaders Vipers SC face KCCA FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
