Defending Champions Buweekula Drawn With Buddu as 2026 Masaza Cup Groups Are Confirmed

The group stage draws for the 2026 Masaza Cup were officially conducted on Tuesday at Bulange, Mengo.

A total of 18 teams have been drawn into three groups, Bulange, Masengere, and Muganzirwazza, with each group consisting of six teams.

Defending champions Buweekula have been placed in the Bulange group alongside three-time winners Buddu, Kyadondo, Busujju, Buluuli, and Buvuma.

Record champions Gomba, who have won the competition five times, were drawn in the Masengere group together with Bulemeezi, Kyaggwe, Busiro, Ssese, and Mawokota.

Meanwhile, the Muganzirwazza group consists of Ssingo, Mawogola, Butambala, Kabula, Kooki, and Bugerere.

The 2026 Masaza Cup tournament will officially be launched on June 10 before the opening match is played on June 13, 2026.
