The 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season came to an end on Sunday, May 17, with Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC crowned champions for the sixth time in their history.
Kawempe needed victory over Olila HS WFC and for She Corporate to fail to beat She Maroons in order to win the league title.
The Valley Warriors defeated Olila 3-1 thanks to goals from Latifah Nakasi, Jovia Nakagolo and captain Agnes Nabukenya, while Mary Lotyang scored the consolation for Olila.
In Njeru, She Maroons held She Corporate to a goalless draw, a result that ensured Kawempe Muslim clinched the title on the final day with 52 points, one ahead of She Corporate. Kawempe also won the fair play award.
Meanwhile, Olila HS WFC and Asubo Ladies FC were relegated and will compete in the FUFA Women Elite League next season.
Latifah Nakasi entered the final day with 14 league goals, one behind Jesca Namanda of She Corporate.
Nakasi found the back of the net against Olila, while Namanda failed to score against She Maroons, meaning both players finished the season as joint top scorers with 15 goals each.
The Most Valuable Player award was won by She Corporate striker Jesca Namanda following her outstanding performances throughout the campaign.
She Corporate goalkeeper Molly Naava was named the Best Goalkeeper of the Season after keeping 12 clean sheets, two more than Kawempe Muslim’s Saidat Namwanje.
It should be noted that the league champions will represent Uganda in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers later this year.
