Title contenders She Corporate FC and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC both dropped crucial points on Sunday, meaning the FUFA Women Super League title race will be decided on the final day of the season.

She Corporate FC suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Uganda Martyrs WFC, marking their third loss of the season and second away from home.

Sharon Kanyiginya’s stunning free-kick on the hour mark proved enough to hand Uganda Martyrs a narrow victory and deny She Corporate FC the chance to clinch the title.

Following Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC’s 1-1 draw with Kampala Queens FC earlier in the day, She Corporate FC only needed victory against Uganda Martyrs WFC to secure the league crown with one match remaining.

Despite the defeat, She Corporate FC remain top of the table with 50 points, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC stay second with 49 points.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC also missed an opportunity to move to the summit after being held to a 1-1 draw by Kampala Queens FC at Lugogo.

The Valley Warriors had taken the lead at halftime through striker Latifah Nakasi, who scored her 14th league goal of the season.

However, with 15 minutes remaining, defender Esther Namusoke headed home the equaliser for Kampala Queens FC to deny Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC all three points.

The title race will now go down to the final day of the season.

She Corporate FC will need victory against She Maroons FC at home to secure their second league title.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, meanwhile, must beat already relegated Olila High School WFC and hope She Corporate FC fail to defeat She Maroons FC in order to win the title under head coach Ayub Khalifah.
