Uganda Premier League
Match Day 2
Kataka FC vs BUL FC, Bukedea — 4pm
Express FC vs KCCA FC, Nakivubo — 8pm

KCCA FC will make the short trip to Nakivubo Stadium on Thursday evening as they face city rivals Express FC in a highly anticipated Kampala Derby.
Both sides head into the fixture looking to bounce back after losing their respective opening matches of the Uganda Premier League season.
KCCA FC made a disappointing start to their campaign, suffering a 1–0 defeat to NEC FC at Lugogo last Saturday.
It was a frustrating opening for Brian Ssenyondo’s men, who entered the new season as FUFA Super 8 champions.
The derby against Express presents KCCA with an immediate opportunity to respond and put their opening-day disappointment behind them.
“There are two things: performance and result. After our opening match performance, we have no option but to bounce back. I expect a response from the players on the pitch from the first whistle, and I expect the team to present itself in the best way possible compared to the way we did in the previous match,” Ssenyondo told the club’s media ahead of Thursday’s encounter.
KCCA’s ambition this season is to compete strongly for the league title, and securing a positive result against Express would provide an important boost as they look to avoid an early-season setback.
Meanwhile, hosts Express FC will also be searching for their first points of the campaign after losing 2–1 to BUL FC in their opening match away in Jinja.
Under head coach Morley Byekwaso, the Red Eagles fielded several new faces against BUL and are expected to continue integrating their new signings as they take on KCCA.
A positive result against their city rivals would be a major boost for Express, particularly with the support of their home fans at Nakivubo Stadium.
With both teams desperate for their first league points, Thursday’s Kampala Derby promises to be a closely contested encounter.
