KCCA Women Set to Unveil FUFA Women Super League Title-Winning Coach

FUFA Women Super League side KCCA Women, formerly Kampala Queens, have agreed terms with Hamza Lutalo to rejoin the club.

The club is expected to unveil Lutalo on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, ahead of the 2026-27 season.

He returns to the club as a direct replacement for Asefa Firew Haile Gabreal, who left after two seasons in charge.

During his two seasons at the helm, Asefa guided KCCA Women to the FUFA Women Super League title and their maiden FUFA Women’s Cup triumph.

New coach Lutalo previously guided KCCA Women to their first-ever FUFA Women Super League title during the 2022-23 season.

He returns to the Palace with two major objectives: retaining the FUFA Women’s Cup and winning the 2026-27 FUFA Women Super League title.

The club have already strengthened their squad with the signing of young and talented attacker Nusulah Nakintu and the contract extension of versatile defender Esther Namusoke.

However, KCCA Women have also lost Catherine Nagadya, Shamusa Najjuma and Patince Nabulobi.

KCCA Women will begin their 2026-27 FUFA Women Super League campaign against newcomers URA Ladies FC on Sunday, September 20.
