Kenyan Side AFC Leopards Enter Race to Sign KCCA FC Target
Kenyan giants AFC Leopards have entered the race to sign SC Villa midfielder Diego Missi Semugera, who is also a transfer target for KCCA FC.
The Kenyan club reportedly made contact with Semugera’s representatives this week, with talks ongoing over a possible move.
According to sources, KCCA FC are also interested in the midfielder and have already shortlisted him as one of their priority targets ahead of next season.
However, AFC Leopards are pushing to finalise the deal before KCCA and beat the Kasasiro Boys to the midfielder’s signature.
The hardworking midfielder has been one of SC Villa’s key players this season, establishing himself as a regular starter in the defensive midfield role.

Semugera joined SC Villa in 2023 from Police FC on a three-year contract, which is set to expire at the end of the current season.
If he leaves the Jogoos, he will join Elvis Ngonde and striker Charles Lwanga, who are also expected to depart the club at the end of the campaign.
Semugera still has a chance to win silverware with SC Villa this season if the record league champions avoid defeat against URA FC in the return leg of the Uganda Cup semi-finals and eventually go on to beat either Vipers SC or Kitara FC in the final.
Meanwhile, SC Villa face Mbarara City FC today in a Uganda Premier League clash in Kamwenge as they continue their push for a top-place finish this season.
