Namanda Brace, URA Victory Headline Matchday Two as Women’s League Action Continues

Matchday Two of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League got underway on Saturday, September 26, 2026, with She Corporate and URA Ladies registering victories, while defending champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies and KCCA Women settled for draws.

Five goals were scored across four matches played in Jinja and Kampala, as teams battled for valuable points in the second round of the campaign. The action will continue on Sunday, September 27, with the remaining fixtures scheduled to bring Matchday Two to a close.

In Jinja District, last season’s joint top scorer Jesca Namanda was the heroine of the day, scoring twice to inspire She Corporate to their first victory of the season.

The Njeru-based side defeated league newcomers Iganga United Women 2-1.

Namanda opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 40th minute after Lydia Namaseruka was fouled inside the box. She completed her brace in the 60th minute, converting from a corner kick delivered by Rebecca Nakato.

The victory moved She Corporate to three points and sixth place in the standings.

In Kampala, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Ladies secured their first points of the season after defeating Makerere University WFC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.

First-half goals from Elizabeth Nakigozi and Tamisi Shafiga proved enough for URA Ladies to claim maximum points.

Nakigozi broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a composed finish after the goalkeeper spilled Shamusa’s low shot.

Shafiga then doubled URA’s advantage in the 34th minute after cleverly beating the offside trap, following an assist from Namazzi.

The hosts defended their lead throughout the second half to secure their first victory of the campaign.

Elsewhere, defending champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies were held to a goalless draw by She Maroons at Wankulukuku.

The result leaves both sides on four points, with She Maroons sitting at the top of the table and Kawempe Muslim Ladies in second place.

At MTN Philip Omondi Stadium, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Women failed to claim maximum points at home after being held to a goalless draw by St. Noa.

Despite applying pressure on the visitors, particularly in the closing stages, KCCA Women could not find the breakthrough.

The draw leaves both KCCA Women and St. Noa on four points, with both sides having won their opening matches before sharing the spoils on Matchday Two.

Matchday Two will conclude on Sunday, September 27, with the remaining fixtures scheduled across different venues.
