NEC FC defeated BUL FC 1-0 away from home on Tuesday in Matchday 26 of the Uganda Premier League.

In the match played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, Innocent Media scored the decisive goal as NEC secured all three points.

Just 13 minutes into the game, Innocent Media rose highest to head home Hakim Wandera’s pinpoint cross and give the visitors the lead.

NEC FC maintained their narrow advantage heading into halftime.

In the second half, BUL FC pushed for an equalizer but failed to break down the visitors’ defense, while NEC were unable to extend their lead. Nevertheless, they held on to claim a vital away victory.

The win extends NEC FC’s unbeaten run against BUL FC to seven matches in all competitions.

NEC FC have also recorded their 12th consecutive clean sheet in all competitions this season, underlining their defensive strength.

For BUL FC, it marks back-to-back home defeats, having previously lost 5-2 to UPDF FC before falling to NEC FC.

NEC FC move to 47 points in fifth position, while BUL FC remain eighth with 34 points and could drop to ninth if Maroons FC avoid defeat against URA FC later this evening.

In their next fixture, NEC FC will visit Kitara FC on May 9, while BUL FC will travel to face SC Villa on the same day.
