Wednesday Fixtures
Kitara FC vs Calvary FC, 4pm – Butema
Lugazi FC vs SC Villa, 4pm – Najjembe
Kitara FC will be aiming to return to winning ways on Wednesday as they host struggling Calvary FC in Matchday 24 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Following a goalless draw against Vipers SC and a narrow 1-0 defeat to KCCA FC, Kitara will be eager to bounce back when they take on Calvary at Royals Park, Butema, with the objective of securing maximum points.
In the reverse fixture, Crispus Asiko scored the decisive goal as Kitara edged Calvary in Midigo.
Historically, the two sides have met three times, with Kitara winning twice and Calvary registering one victory.
Kitara head coach Wasswa Bbosa emphasized the importance of the fixture, acknowledging the need for improvement in front of goal.
“We know we have not been ruthless enough in front of goal recently,” Bbosa stated. “Against KCCA, chances were created but not converted. This week has been focused on sharpening our finishing and tightening our defence. The Royals Park faithful deserve nothing less than a winning performance, and we are determined to deliver and reclaim our place in the top two.”

A victory for Kitara would take them to 50 points, consolidating their position in third place, just one point behind second-placed KCCA FC and five behind leaders Vipers SC, with six matches remaining.
Calvary FC, on the other hand, sit at the bottom of the table with just nine points from 23 games.
Another defeat would edge them closer to relegation, leaving them only two losses away from the drop, depending on other results.
Kitara will be without right-back Edward Namasa, who is sidelined with an injury sustained in the Uganda Cup clash against Express FC, while the rest of the squad is available for selection.
Prediction
Kitara FC 4-0 Calvary FC
