Official 2025/26 Uganda Premier League Team of the Season Revealed

The official 2025/26 Uganda Premier League Team of the Season was unveiled during the awards ceremony held on Friday evening at Kati Kati Grounds.

Hannington Sebwalunyo of NEC FC was named the Best Goalkeeper of the Season and also earned a place in the Team of the Season.

Sebwalunyo kept 13 clean sheets during the campaign and remarkably scored two decisive goals against Mbarara City FC and URA FC, with both goals securing maximum points for his side.

Jonathan Odong of Entebbe UPPC FC was selected at right-back following an impressive season in which he also contributed three assists.

Herbert Achayi of KCCA FC was named as the left-back after registering five goals and five assists during the season.

Vipers SC duo Hilary Mukundane and Kevin Dasylva were named as the central defensive partnership.

The pair played a major role in helping Vipers concede the joint fewest goals in the league alongside SC Villa while also guiding the club to the league title.

Issa Bugembe also made the Team of the Season after an outstanding campaign with Entebbe UPPC FC. The defensive midfielder scored three goals and registered one assist, in addition to earning several Man of the Match awards.

Joseph Sseremba of NEC FC also earned a place in the team following his impressive performances that helped NEC go 17 games unbeaten and lose only two matches in 2026.

Karim Watambala of Vipers SC was included after scoring 12 goals and providing four assists during the title-winning campaign.

Teammate Usama Arafat was also named in the side after contributing 10 goals and five assists as Vipers secured the championship.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe of KCCA FC made the squad after finishing as the league’s top scorer with 14 goals and three assists.

Meanwhile, rejuvenated SC Villa forward Hassan Mubiru completed the Team of the Season after registering four goals and three assists.

Ivan Jacky Minnaert of Vipers SC was named Coach of the Season after guiding the club to the league title with only one defeat all season, which came through a boardroom forfeiture.
