OFFICIAL: SC Villa Unveil Golden Boot Winner Gumperom
Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa have officially confirmed the signing of striker Isaac Gumperom on a four year contract.
The club announced the transfer on its official social media platforms on Tuesday, July 7, welcoming the prolific forward to the Jogoos.
This website exclusively reported the impending move two weeks ago, and it has now been officially confirmed.
Gumperom joins SC Villa from FUFA Big League side Young Elephants Academy, where he enjoyed an impressive campaign last season.
The striker becomes SC Villa’s second signing of the current transfer window, following the arrival of teenager John Asiimwe from Express FC.
The 24-year-old finished as the top scorer in the 2025/26 FUFA Big League, winning the Golden Boot after scoring 17 goals.
He arrives at SC Villa as a direct replacement for Charles Lwanga, who recently completed a move to KCCA FC.
Gumperom is widely regarded for his clinical finishing, intelligent movement inside the penalty area, physical presence, and powerful shooting ability.
SC Villa finished third in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season and were runners-up in the Stanbic Uganda Cup after losing to Kitara FC in the final. The club is now strengthening its squad as it looks to challenge for major honours in the upcoming campaign.
