Uganda Cranes star Allan Okello delivered another outstanding performance as Young Africans thrashed Mbeya City 6-0 in the NBC Premier League on Thursday.

Okello registered two assists to inspire his side to a dominant victory and maintain their position at the top of the table.

Young Africans took the lead just six minutes into the match through Prince Dube. Pacome Zouzoua doubled the advantage three minutes later.

In the 16th minute, Okello provided his first assist, setting up Maxi Nzengeli to extend the lead for the hosts.

Zouzoua added a fourth goal in the 44th minute before Okello grabbed his second assist a minute later, teeing up Mohamed Hussein to make it 5-0 at halftime.

Okello was substituted in the 62nd minute, making way for Abdulnassir Mohamed after an influential display.

Prince Dube later completed the scoring with a sixth goal, sealing an emphatic victory for Young Africans.

Okello’s contributions mean he has now recorded one goal and five assists in his last three league matches, totaling six goal involvements in that period.

The Ugandan international continues to grow in popularity among fans in Tanzania, thanks to his consistent performances and creativity on the pitch.

Young Africans remain top of the table with 47 points, eight ahead of second-placed Simba, who have a game in hand.

Next up, Young Africans will face Simba in the Kariakoo Derby on May 3, 2026, the biggest and most anticipated fixtures in Tanzanian club football.
