She Corporate Sign Naava’s Replacement

Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League giants She Corporate have completed the signing of goalkeeper Esther Akite from Olila HS WFC, Sports Light Uganda understands.

Akite joins She Corporate as a direct replacement for Molly Naava, who left the club at the end of the 2025-26 season to join Tanzanian side Yanga Princess.

The club is expected to unveil Akite on Wednesday, September 16.

Last season, Akite registered five clean sheets with Olila despite the side being relegated from the top flight.

In the 2024-25 season, she recorded seven league clean sheets, while in the 2023-24 campaign, she registered 11 clean sheets.

Akite is a very good shot-stopper with valuable top-flight experience. However, she faces the challenge of filling the big shoes left by Naava, who was named the league’s best goalkeeper last season.

She will reunite with her former coach Pande Cifu, a relationship that could help her build confidence as she settles into her new surroundings and aims to help She Corporate challenge for the league title.

The Sharks finished second in the league standings last season, and their target this campaign is to go one step further and win the title.

With just three days remaining before the closure of the transfer window, She Corporate are expected to make more signings ahead of the 2026-27 season, which kicks off this weekend.
