Uganda Beach Soccer Super Four Draw Sets Up Exciting Bunjako Battles

The Uganda Beach Soccer Super Four Cup 2026 has been set for an exciting return to the shores of Lake Victoria after the draw for the sixth edition was conducted ahead of the championship scheduled for Sunday, 20 September at Bunjako Beach.

The one-day championship will bring together four of the best-performing teams from the previous Uganda Beach Soccer League season, with Kampala City Beach Soccer Club, St. Lawrence University Beach Soccer Club, Mutoola Beach Soccer Club and MUBS Beach Soccer Club set to battle for the coveted Super Four title.

The draw produced two exciting semi-final encounters, with St. Lawrence University Beach Soccer Club drawn against MUBS Beach Soccer Club, while Mutoola Beach Soccer Club will take on Kampala City Beach Soccer Club.

The games will be played at Bunjako Beach, as beach soccer returns to the lake shores for a day that will combine competition, entertainment and fan engagement.

Speaking ahead of the championship, Uganda Beach Soccer Association Communications and Marketing Director Julius Mutebi said the return to the beach will provide an opportunity for fans to experience the sport in its natural setting.

“Beach Soccer is back on the beach, and we look forward to an exciting and memorable experience as the game returns to its natural setting,” Mutebi said.

Uganda Beach Soccer Association Chairperson Deo Mutabazi called upon Ugandans to turn up in large numbers and give the players and teams the support they deserve.

“I also call upon all Ugandans to come out in big numbers and witness the Uganda Beach Soccer Super Four. Let us fill the venue, celebrate our players and teams, and give Beach Soccer the support it deserves,” Mutabazi said.

The championship has also received support from several partners through the coordination and media partnership of Midfield Media Agency.

The partners include Yards256, Tumba Juice, Embroidery Plus, Avroom Ventures, Nze KB Marketing Agency, Bunjako Beach, Maama Maria Junior School – Nakirebe, LEGOBRIGHT Sports Agency, Bbosa Maria Garments and FUFA TV & Radio.

Their support will contribute towards the provision of the championship trophy, gold, silver and bronze medals, team uniforms, welfare and other essential event logistics.

Nankabirwa Irene, CEO of Embroidery Plus, said the company was pleased to work with UBSA in supporting the development of the sport.

“We are here to work with the Uganda Beach Soccer Association and contribute to the promotion, growth and development of beach soccer in Uganda,” Nankabirwa said.

Bunjako Beach Director Joseph Collin Ssemanda also welcomed the championship back to the venue, describing Bunjako as a safe sporting destination.

“We have worked with UBSA before, and we are happy to host you again. Bunjako is a safe sporting destination for athletes, and we host different sports,” Ssemanda said.

Nze KB Arts Marketing Agency has also joined the championship as a partner, with CEO Basiima K. Heron expressing optimism about the partnership.

“We are grateful to have come on board as a partner of the Uganda Beach Soccer Association. We look forward to this partnership playing a key role in promoting, supporting and growing the sport of beach soccer in Uganda,” Heron said.

The Super Four will also feature an entertainment package, with popular vocalist and “Balilako” hit maker Flash Love joining the campaign as the entertainment brand ambassador.

Flash Love will use her entertainment platforms to build excitement around the championship and engage fans in the build-up to the tournament.

The championship is expected to provide more than just competitive beach soccer, bringing together players, fans, partners and other sports stakeholders for a full day of sport and entertainment.

The Uganda Beach Soccer Super Four Cup 2026 will take place on Sunday, 20 September at Bunjako Beach.
