Uganda Cranes Friendlies in Morocco Cancelled Over Public Health Concerns
The Uganda Cranes’ two scheduled international friendlies against Tanzania and Madagascar have been cancelled due to sanitary and public health considerations, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations has confirmed.
FUFA said it was notified by Moroccan authorities through match agents that the matches would not go ahead.
The decision is linked to concerns over an Ebola outbreak in East Africa.
Uganda was due to face Tanzania on June 5 and Madagascar on June 6 in Marrakech, with the Cranes already in Morocco for the fixtures.
More details to follow.
