Uganda Premier League Golden Boot Winner Ivan Ahimbisibwe Joins Iraq’s Zhako SC
The 2025-26 Premier League golden boot winner Ivan Ahimbisibwe has completed a move to Iraqi side Zhako SC from Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC.
The prolific forward has signed a two-year contract with Zhako, bringing an end to his one-year spell at the Lugogo-based club.
Ahimbisibwe enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 season, finishing as the Uganda Premier League’s top scorer with 14 goals.
His impressive performances also earned him a place in the league’s Team of the Season.
The striker, popularly known as “The Hunter,” was unable to reach an agreement with KCCA FC over a contract extension.
With only one year remaining on his deal, the Kasasiro Boys opted to sanction his transfer rather than risk losing him as a free agent at the end of next season.
Last season, Zhako finished 9th on the league (top-flight) summit.
