UPL MD22 | Friday Results & Fixtures
Lugazi 1-1 Entebbe UPPC
Vipers SC Vs Kitara, 8pm, Kitende

Lugazi FC and Entebbe UPPC played out a 1-1 draw on Friday evening in matchday 22 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

In the match played in Najjembe, Abraham Kakensa Tusubira gave Entebbe UPPC the lead, while Billy Wabwire equalised for Lugazi as the two sides shared the points.

The game started brightly, with both teams finding the back of the net in the early stages. Tusubira put the visitors ahead just eight minutes into the match.

However, the lead lasted only two minutes, as the hosts responded quickly through Wabwire to level matters before halftime.

In the second half, both teams made several changes, but neither side showed enough attacking intent to break the deadlock, with the contest largely settling into a balanced affair.

Referee Tumuhaise John Baptist brought the game to an end with both sides earning a point apiece.

The result means Entebbe UPPC have now collected four points from a possible six against Lugazi this season, having won the first leg 2-1.

However, both teams remain winless in their last five league matches.

Entebbe UPPC sit sixth on the table with 37 points, while Lugazi are 12th with 19 points, three above the relegation zone.

In their next fixtures, Lugazi will visit Calvary on 15 April, while Entebbe UPPC will face Buhimba away the following day.

Matchday 22 continues later this evening, with table leaders Vipers SC hosting second-placed Kitara FC at 8:00 PM at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
