URA Hand New Contracts to Kisolo and Ssekibengo
Uganda Premier League side URA FC have handed new contracts to youngsters Innocent Kisolo and Godfrey Ssekibengo, according to reports from Swift Sports.
The duo were out of contract at the end of the 2025-26 season, but the Tax Collectors identified them among their priority players to retain as part of the club’s rebuilding process.
Following a disappointing campaign, URA FC are focusing on maintaining a core of young and talented players, with Kisolo and Ssekibengo becoming the latest beneficiaries of the club’s long-term plans.
Both players previously featured for St. Henry’s College Kitovu and the KCCA FC Junior Team in the FUFA Juniors League before progressing into senior football.
Ssekibengo rose to prominence in 2018 when he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the Gothia Cup held in China.

URA endured a difficult 2025-26 season, finishing 11th in the Uganda Premier League with 31 points from 30 matches.
The Tax Collectors also fell short in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, suffering elimination at the hands of SC Villa in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, head coach Hussein Mbalangu is reported to have left the club following the conclusion of the season.
As preparations for the 2026-27 campaign gather pace, URA FC are expected to make several changes to their squad, with both arrivals and departures anticipated as the club seeks to assemble a stronger team capable of challenging for major honours.
