Defender Joseph Bright Vuni is set to leave Uganda Premier League side URA FC at the expiration of his contract.
This website understands that Vuni will depart the Tax Collectors when his current deal expires at the end of June 2026.
The versatile defender spent part of last season on loan at Entebbe UPPC before returning to URA at the beginning of this year.
However, Vuni struggled for playing time under head coach Hussein Mbalangu, as URA endured an inconsistent campaign throughout the season.
A journalist by profession, Vuni is capable of playing both as a central defender and at right-back.
The 28-year-old has previously featured for Young Simba FC, UPDF FC, Arua Hill SC, and Entebbe UPPC during his career.
He also represented Mawogola in the 2018 Masaza Cup tournament.
Meanwhile, URA FC have already secured the futures of several key players, including Godfrey Ssekibengo, Innocent Kisolo, and Denis Luzige Kisiriko, whose contracts have been extended.
The club will be aiming for a much-improved campaign next season as they seek to challenge for major honours.
URA FC endured a disappointing 2025/26 season, finishing 11th in the Uganda Premier League and falling short in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, where they were eliminated at the semi-final stage.
