VIDEO: Express FC Midfielder Mulamba Rushed to Hospital After Head Injury

Express FC midfielder Blanchar Mulamba has been rushed to hospital for further treatment following a head injury sustained during the Uganda Premier League match against BUL FC on Friday.

Mulamba suffered the injury in the 44th minute after a collision with BUL FC’s Hilary Onek and was immediately taken off and transported to hospital for further medical attention.

The incident comes just days after NEC FC forward Richard Basangwa was elbowed by Express FC’s Glory Kisule in a separate league match, an incident that also required hospital treatment. Basangwa was later confirmed to be out of danger.

In Basangwa’s case, the matchday ambulance reportedly had a mechanical issue, including a flat tyre, and lacked the necessary medical equipment, forcing officials to use an alternative vehicle to rush him to hospital.

However, in today’s incident, Mulamba was transported using the ambulance provided for the match, in line with regulations that require a fully equipped ambulance to be available on matchday.

At the time of reporting, the match is in the second half, with BUL FC leading 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Pascal Ngobi.

Further updates on Mulamba’s condition are expected.
