Uganda Cranes left-back Aziz Kayondo produced a Man of the Match performance to help Slovan Liberec secure a 2-0 victory over Hradec Kralove on Sunday evening.

Lukas Masek opened the scoring for Slovan Liberec in the 42nd minute before Kayondo sealed the victory with a stunning late strike.

Kayondo put the icing on the cake with a late goal to seal the victory for his side and cap off an impressive individual display.

The Ugandan defender unleashed an unbelievable thunderbolt from outside the box, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance as the ball flew into the net.

The Ugandan left-back played the entire match and was voted the best player on the pitch following his outstanding performance.

Kayondo won four ground duels, made one crucial clearance and recorded four recoveries as he contributed at both ends of the pitch.

The victory lifted Slovan Liberec to the top of the table with 13 points, two ahead of second-placed Slavia Praha and third-placed Mlada Boleslav. However, both teams have a game in hand.

Kayondo and Slovan Liberec will return to action on September 6 when they travel to face Jablonec.
