Vipers Release Striker After One Season

Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have parted ways with striker Mark Yallah, Sports Light Uganda understands.

The Liberian forward leaves the club after just one season, having struggled for regular playing time during his stint at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

According to the Uganda Premier League official website, Yallah made only four league appearances during the 2025-26 season.

Yallah became Vipers’ first signing of 2025 and, upon his unveiling, expressed his desire to make history with the Venoms. However, his time at the club did not go as planned, and he departs without establishing himself as a key figure in the squad.

The 26-year-old earned his move to Vipers after an impressive 2024-25 campaign in Liberia, where he scored 20 goals and finished as the league’s second-top scorer.

Meanwhile, experienced defender Livingstone Mulondo is also expected to leave the club after seven seasons of service.

More departures are anticipated as Vipers continue to reshape their squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.
