Vipers SC Vs URA FC, 8pm – Kitende
Captain Milton Karisa, Taddeo Lwanga, and left-back Enock Luyima are all absent from the Vipers SC squad as the starting lineups for this evening’s clash against URA FC were confirmed.
Karisa misses out after picking up an ankle injury in the previous game against Kitara FC, while Lwanga is suspended. The club also confirmed that Luyima is sidelined with an ACL sprain injury.
Denis Kiggundu starts in goal for the Venoms, while Rogers Torach partners Hillary Mukundane in central defence. Derrick Ndahiro and Ashraf Mandela start at left-back and right-back respectively.
Marvin Youngman comes into the side to replace the suspended Lwanga and will partner Enock Ssebagala and Karim Watambala in midfield.
Usama Arafat, Odili Chukwuma, and Gusto Mulongo, who scored against URA FC in the first round, lead the attack for the hosts.
For URA FC, Chrispas Kusiima starts in goal, with Bright Vuni and Ronald Otti forming the central defensive partnership. James Bagesa and Dissan Galiwango start at right-back and left-back respectively.
Ibrahim Mugulusi, John Innocent Kisolo, and Ibrahim Wammanah make up the midfield trio.
Moses Aliro, Joseph Ssemujju, and Bruno Bunyaga lead the attack in search of goals for the Tax Collectors.
Vipers SC go into the game top of the table with 59 points, and victory tonight would move them to 62 points, leaving them needing only one more win from their remaining matches to retain the league title.
URA FC, meanwhile, are still searching for their first away victory of the season and head into the match on a six-game winless run.
The Venoms are also unbeaten at home in the league this season, having only dropped points in draws against Kitara FC, NEC FC, and SC Villa.
In the reverse fixture, Vipers SC defeated URA FC 3-0 at Nakivubo courtesy of a Karim Watambala brace and a goal from Gusto Mulongo.
