A senior delegation from Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) is set to arrive in Uganda on Tuesday morning for a crucial strategic engagement with the three PAMOJA host nations of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations—Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The two-day meeting, scheduled for April 22–23 in Kampala, marks a significant milestone in the coordinated planning process as preparations for the continental showpiece gather momentum.
CAF and the host nations are expected to provide updates on delivery priorities for the next phase of readiness.
The engagement will bring together senior representatives from the governments of the three countries, alongside the presidents of their respective football associations.
Also in attendance will be CAF’s acting General Secretary Samson Adamu, as well as top officials from key functional areas including competitions, commercial operations, broadcasting, safety and security, and finance.
Discussions will focus on critical aspects necessary for the successful delivery of the tournament.
These include infrastructure development, procurement processes, financial planning, media operations, ticketing, and commercial strategy, among others.
The meeting underscores the shared commitment of CAF and the PAMOJA host nations to work collaboratively with a clear sense of purpose.
It also highlights CAF’s continued support in strengthening coordination mechanisms and enhancing operational readiness across all core areas of tournament delivery.
Members of the media will have an opportunity to engage with officials during a mixed zone session scheduled for both days of the meeting.
Uganda, alongside Tanzania and Kenya, will co-host AFCON 2027, scheduled to run from 19th June to 18th July 2027.
