César Manzoki Returns to Vipers

Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have confirmed the return of striker César Manzoki to the club.

The Venoms announced the signing through their official social media platforms on Saturday, July 11, welcoming back one of the club’s most prolific forwards.

In a statement, the club wrote:

“The Emperor Is Back to Rule!!!

Welcome back, César Manzoki.”

Manzoki returns to St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, three years after leaving the club and becomes Vipers’ fifth official signing of the transfer window.

During his previous spell with the Venoms, the Congolese striker scored 32 goals and provided 15 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions.

He enjoyed a highly successful stint at the club, helping Vipers win the Uganda Premier League title and the Uganda Cup. He also claimed both the Uganda Premier League Golden Boot and Uganda Cup Golden Boot awards.

Individually, Manzoki swept several accolades during the 2021-22 season, including Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, and Forward of the Season, among others.

He joins a list of new arrivals at Vipers that includes Joel Sserunjogi, Jacques Mangoba, Loyce Marius Mbaba, and Nicholas Mwere.

The striker has previously featured for AS Dauphins Noirs, AS Vita Club, AS Maniema Union, Dalian Pro, and several other clubs during his professional career.

Vipers are currently preparing for the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup, which will be held from July 24 to August 7 in Kigali, Rwanda.

The 2018 quarter-finalists have been drawn in Group A alongside APR FC of Rwanda, Gor Mahia of Kenya, and Garde Républicaine of Djibouti as they continue preparations for both continental and domestic assignments.
