KCCA fined, as FUFA Orders KCCA Vs UPDF game to resume

The FUFA disciplinary panel has ordered that the abandoned game between KCCA and UPDF to be rescheduled at a later date.

The new developments were released via a written statement from the panel on Friday evening.

Despite rescheduling the said game that was abandoned last week on Thursday after flood lights failure, KCCA have been penalized.

The statement reads.

“The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has ordered that Match No. 61 of the SUPL, KCCA FC vs UPDF FC, be rescheduled as a continuation-of-play match from the minute at which it was abandoned”

“KCCA FC shall reimburse UPDF FC for the costs incurred in connection with the abandoned match”

“The club has also been fined UGX 1,000,000 in accordance with the Panel’s decision”

The said game was set for last week on Thursday at the MTN Omondi Stadium under the flood lights.

But eight minutes after kick off, lights went off and never returned forcing the game to be abandoned.

The decision will sound good news for many KCCA faithful that even expected bigger punishment that could even include point deductions.
