Spanish football has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of CD Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel Alameda, who passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, after suffering a cardiac arrest during a match against Andorra.

The incident occurred in the 97th minute when Andorra goalkeeper Owono Akeng accidentally kneed the forward in the chest at tremendous speed while attempting to intercept the ball.
