Uganda-Eligible Youngster Mukasa Signs New Long-Term Contract at Manchester City

Uganda-eligible youngster Divine Mukasa has signed a new long-term contract with Manchester City, committing his future to the English champions.

The highly rated academy graduate put pen to paper on a new four-year deal on Tuesday evening, extending his stay at the club he joined in 2023.

Mukasa has continued to impress since arriving at Manchester City, earning recognition for his performances at youth level and making his senior debut for the club.

The England youth international, who is also eligible to represent Uganda, recently returned from a loan spell and has been rewarded with a fresh contract following his steady development.

Speaking after signing the new deal, Mukasa expressed his delight and gratitude to the club.

“I have learnt so much since the day I arrived at the Club from players and staff alike. The experiences I have gained have definitely bettered me as a player and a person,” Mukasa said.

“With this said, I can only use the environment to continue to progress. My taste of first-team football at City earlier last season has only furthered my ambition to compete at the highest level,” he added.

The contract extension underlines Manchester City’s belief in the talented youngster, who is regarded as one of the club’s most promising prospects.

Mukasa is widely viewed as a player with a bright future, and the new deal reflects the club’s confidence in his potential to develop into a key figure in the years ahead.
