KCCA FC Interested in SC Villa Midfielder

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC are reportedly interested in signing SC Villa midfielder Elvis Ngonde ahead of the 2026/27 season.

According to reports, the Kasasiro Boys have already made contact with the player’s representatives as they explore the possibility of bringing him to Lugogo.

The 24-year-old midfielder is currently out of contract with SC Villa and is understood to be open to a move.

Ngonde has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at SC Villa, making 18 appearances in the Uganda Premier League during the 2025/26 season, with many of those coming from the bench.

KCCA FC are expected to strengthen their squad after ending the season without a trophy.

The Lugogo-based side finished second in the Uganda Premier League and were eliminated from the Uganda Cup at the quarterfinal stage.

Sources indicate that midfielder Joel Sserunjogi is set to leave the club, prompting KCCA to identify potential midfield reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.

On June 1, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) confirmed the key timelines for the 2026/27 season, with the Uganda Premier League set to kick off on August 28.

Ngonde is a graduate of St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende.

In 2022, he scored in the USSSA Boys’ Football Championship final to help Kitende defeat St Andrews Kaggwa Gombe and lift the title.

The calm and composed midfielder has also earned a cap for the Uganda Cranes.

In 2025, he was part of the historic Uganda Cranes squad that reached the quarterfinals of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Ngonde previously featured for Busoga United and Gaddafi FC, now known as Entebbe UPPC FC.
