Former Uganda Hippos Midfielder Agrees Terms with KCCA FC

Former Uganda Hippos midfielder Ryan Figo Kizito has agreed terms with KCCA FC ahead of a proposed move to the Lugogo-based club, Sports Light Uganda understands.

According to reliable sources, Kizito is set to sign a three-year employment contract with KCCA FC after reaching an agreement with the club.

The move comes as KCCA prepare for the expected departure of midfielder Joel Sserunjogi, who is reportedly on the verge of joining Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC.

SC Villa were also interested in signing Kizito, but the midfielder is understood to have chosen KCCA FC as his preferred destination.

Should the deal be completed, the 22-year-old will add quality and depth to KCCA’s midfield department, where he will compete for a starting place alongside several established players.

Kizito has been a key figure for Police FC in recent seasons and has previously represented Uganda at youth level with the Uganda Hippos.

Highly regarded for his work rate, composure on the ball, and versatility in midfield, the youngster is viewed as one of the promising talents in the Uganda Premier League.

KCCA FC are expected to strengthen several areas of their squad as they seek to end a seven-year trophy drought and mount a serious challenge for silverware next season.

The Kasasiro Boys finished second in the 2025-26 Uganda Premier League, behind champions Vipers SC.

Their Stanbic Uganda Cup campaign ended at the quarter-final stage after they were eliminated by URA FC.
