Saturday, June 13

Amus College WFC 0-3 Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC

Kampala Queens FC vs Lady Doves FC, 3:00 PM – Lugogo

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC took a giant step towards reaching the FUFA Women’s Cup final after defeating defending champions Amus College WFC 3-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals on Saturday in Mbale.

The Valley Warriors produced a dominant display away from home, with Latifah Nakasi scoring a brace while Jovia Nakagolo added the other goal to hand Kawempe a commanding advantage ahead of the return leg.

Kawempe made a bright start to the match and broke the deadlock just six minutes into the game through Jovia Nakagolo, who put the visitors ahead.

The lead was doubled in the 30th minute when Latifah Nakasi found the back of the net to give the visitors a comfortable 2-0 advantage heading into the halftime break.

The visitors continued to dominate after the restart and extended their lead in the 67th minute, with goal poacher Nakasi completing her brace and putting the result beyond doubt.

The Ayub Khalifah-coached side comfortably maintained their three-goal cushion for the remainder of the match to secure an impressive away victory.

Amus College now face a difficult task in the return leg as they seek to defend their title. The reigning champions will need to win by at least three goals to force a penalty shootout and keep their hopes alive.

Kawempe Muslim, meanwhile, hold a significant advantage and will be confident of finishing the job when they host Amus College in the second leg on June 17. The winner on aggregate will advance to the final.

The Valley Warriors are chasing their maiden FUFA Women’s Cup title and remain on course for a domestic double after already clinching the 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League crown.

In the other semi-final, Kampala Queens FC host Lady Doves FC this afternoon at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
