KCCA FC Agree Terms with Striker

Striker James Brian Obedi has agreed terms with Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC, this website understands.

Obedi, whose contract with Police FC expired at the end of the 2025/26 season, is set to join the Kasasiro Boys as a free agent.

It is reported that the forward will sign a three-year contract with the Lugogo-based club as KCCA FC continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

SC Villa were also interested in signing Obedi, but KCCA FC are understood to have won the race for his signature as they seek to bolster their attacking options.

During the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season, Obedi scored four goals and provided three assists in 24 league appearances for Police FC.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that KCCA FC are willing to part ways with striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe, who has one year remaining on his current contract. The club is keen to avoid losing the forward on a free transfer when his deal expires next year.

Ahimbisibwe enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 14 league goals and registering three assists to finish as the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League Golden Boot winner.

In addition, midfielder Ryan Figo Kizito has reportedly also agreed terms with KCCA FC and is expected to join as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Police FC.

KCCA FC finished second in the Uganda Premier League last season and have now gone six consecutive seasons without winning the league title. The club is therefore determined to strengthen its squad as it aims to challenge for silverware and end its trophy drought in the upcoming campaign.
