The 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup semi-finals conclude on Wednesday, with Kampala Queens and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC aiming to seal their places in the final.

Both sides head into the return legs holding comfortable advantages from the first-leg encounters and will be looking to avoid defeat as they seek to book their spots in the showpiece event.

Kawempe Muslim take on Amus College at Kawempe after securing a commanding 3-0 victory away from home in the first leg. Latifah Nakasi scored twice, while Jovia Nakagolo added the other goal to put the Valley Warriors firmly in control of the tie.

Playing in front of their home supporters, Kawempe Muslim will be confident of completing the job and reaching a second consecutive FUFA Women’s Cup final.

The Ayub Khalifah-coached side suffered heartbreak against Amus College in last year’s final but now have an opportunity to eliminate the same opponents in the semi-finals and move a step closer to winning a domestic double this season.

Meanwhile, Kampala Queens travel to Masindi with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg against Lady Doves.

Goals from Joanitah Ainembabazi and Kamiyat Naigaga handed the Queens of Soccer a crucial first-leg victory at Lugogo, and the team has already arrived in Masindi to prepare for the decisive encounter.

Kampala Queens are chasing a historic milestone, as they have never reached a FUFA Women’s Cup final. Victory over two legs would see them qualify for their maiden final and keep alive their hopes of lifting the club’s first-ever Women’s Cup trophy.

The Queens endured a disappointing season by their standards, finishing third in the league for the first time since 2021 and failing to retain the league title.

However, reaching the final and potentially winning the trophy would provide a significant boost and a memorable achievement in the club’s history.

The 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup final is scheduled to be played at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, on Sunday, June 21.
