Uganda Premier League Champions Vipers SC have parted ways with their head coach Denis Lavagne.

The club made this official on Saturday morning via a released statement on their socials.

“Vipers Sports Club informs its stakeholders and general public that it has by mutual consent ended its contractual relationship with Mr. Denis Lavagne (Head Coach) effective October 24th, 2026, the club confirmed.

“The club would like to thank Lavagne for his services during his stay at the Venoms family and wishes him the best in his career development”

The French tactician had joined the Kitende based club on June 30th this year on a two year’s deal.

But following mixed results at the club, his departure has been imminent.

He failed his first task at the club when Vipers was eliminated in the 1st preliminary round of the CAF Champions league by Nouadhibou.

Even in the league, the club continued with the mixed results. For starters, Vipers had only picked one win at home summing up their poor start.

And following Friday’s goal less draw against Police on Friday, the club made a decision on Saturday morning to part ways.

Following his departure, John Ayala , who has been Denis Lavagne’s assistant will be expected to take over as the interim coach at the club.
