The nominees for the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League Coach of the Month award have been revealed, with the head coaches of the league’s top three teams set to contest for the accolade.
The award will be determined based on performances between Matchdays 12, 13, 14, and 15, with the best-performing coach over that period set to be crowned.
She Corporate head coach Ininahazwe Belyse has been nominated alongside Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC’s Ayub Khalifah and Kampala Queens’ Asefa Firew Haile Gebreal.
A closer look at their performances during the period highlights a competitive race for the award.
Ayub Khalifah – Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC

Khalifah guided Kawempe to an unbeaten run, registering two wins and two draws in four matches.
His side played out 1-1 draws against St Noa and She Maroons, while securing convincing 3-0 victories over title rivals She Corporate and Uganda Martyrs.
Kawempe collected eight points from a possible 12, maintaining their strong position in the title race.
Ininahazwe Belyse – She Corporate FC
The Burundian tactician led She Corporate to three wins in four matches, suffering only one defeat away to Kawempe.
She Corporate recorded victories over Asubo (3-0), Amus (1-0), and Lady Doves (1-0), before falling 2-0 to Kawempe in a match in which they were reduced to 10 players.
Notably, Belyse’s side played only one of the four matches at home and registered three clean sheets—the highest among the nominees.
Asefa Firew Haile Gebreal – Kampala Queens FC

Kampala Queens recorded two wins, one draw, and one defeat during the period.
They secured victories over Olila (1-0) and Asubo Ladies (8-0), drew 2-2 with Rines, and suffered a surprising 1-0 home defeat to St Noa.
Asefa’s side scored an impressive 11 goals and conceded three, collecting seven points from a possible 12.
Assessment
Based on the performances, Ininahazwe Belyse appears to hold a slight edge over Ayub Khalifah, particularly in terms of wins secured and defensive solidity. Asefa Firew Haile Gebreal ranks closely behind, bolstered by his team’s attacking output.
While Belyse may be considered the frontrunner for the award, all three coaches have delivered commendable performances and remain worthy contenders.
