FUFA Dismisses Paidha’s Petition Against Catda Coach, Warns Both Clubs Over Misconduct
The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has dismissed a petition filed by Paidha Black Angels Sports Club against Catda FC, following incidents arising from their FUFA Big League clash earlier this year.
According to the summary of the decision, the petition stemmed from Match No. 143 of the 2025/2026 season between Catda FC and Paidha Black Angdls played at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds on 7 March 2026.
Paid had raised several allegations regarding the conduct of the match and individuals involved.
In response, the FUFA Disciplinary Panel invited Catda FC to present their position on the matter. The club submitted its response and also raised counter-allegations.
Paidha was subsequently given an opportunity to reply, which they did.
After reviewing all the evidence, the panel made several key findings. It ruled that the presence of Wasswa Godfrey in the technical area and his issuance of tactical instructions was lawful, as he is a licensed and officially recognized coach of Catda FC, a position he has held since 1 January 2026.
The panel also found that allegations questioning the neutrality of match officials were unsubstantiated and lacked merit.
However, the FUFA Disciplinary Panel noted that both clubs contributed to a hostile environment during the match.
It cited misconduct from both sides, including hostile behavior by Catda FC supporters towards Paidha members, as well as actions by Paidha supporters who threw objects onto the pitch and issued threats of violence.
Consequently, the panel dismissed the petition against Wasswa Godfrey. Both Paidha Black Angels SC and Catda FC were issued warnings regarding their future conduct.
The decision was issued on behalf of the FUFA Disciplinary Panel by chairman Willis Sseruyange.
