UPL: BUL FC vs SC Villa – All You Need to Know

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League returns this afternoon with Matchday 10 action as BUL FC host table leaders Villa at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Two unbeaten sides go head-to-head in a crucial encounter, with both teams eyeing the top position in the standings.

A victory for SC Villa would keep them at the top of the table, while BUL have an opportunity to climb to first place if they defeat the Jogoos and NEC FC fail to overcome UPDF FC.

Coming into this fixture, SC Villa secured a 2-1 away victory over Lugazi, while BUL played out a 1-1 draw with Entebbe UPPC at home.

Last season, BUL defeated SC Villa 2-1 at home, with Alex Kitata and Nicholas Mwere finding the back of the net for the Eastern Giants, while Reagan Mpande scored the consolation goal for the visitors.

In their last five league meetings, SC Villa have registered two victories, BUL have also won twice, while the other encounter ended in a draw. Notably, the most recent meeting between the two sides also ended in a stalemate.

BUL head coach Alex Isabirye will be demanding a high-quality performance from his players as they prepare to face the Jogoos.

“We are playing a big team and I expect my boys to show up with high standards and help the team win the game,” he said.

Elsewhere, NEC FC will host Hussein Mbalangu’s UPDF FC, knowing that victory, coupled with a draw in the BUL FC versus SC Villa encounter, would take them to the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Kitara FC will be away to Police FC as the Matchday 10 fixtures continue.
