FUFA Women’s Cup: Kawempe Muslim, Amus Chase Semi-Final Berths
Sunday, June 7
Kawempe Muslim Ladies vs Wakiso Hill WFC, 3pm
She Maroons vs Amus College, 3pm
The quarter-final stage of the 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup concludes on Sunday with two exciting fixtures as Kawempe Muslim Ladies host Wakiso Hill WFC, while defending champions Amus College visit She Maroons.
Before kick-off, a moment of silence will be observed in honour of former She Corporate FC captain Cissy Nantongo, who passed away on Wednesday, June 3.
FUFA confirmed that all matches scheduled for this weekend would pay tribute to the late footballer.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies are still searching for their maiden FUFA Women’s Cup title and will need to overcome FUFA Women Elite League side Wakiso Hill WFC to keep their dream alive.
The Valley Warriors reached the quarter-finals after eliminating 2023 champions Uganda Martyrs with a 1-0 victory, while Wakiso Hill advanced after defeating 2024 winners She Corporate FC in a penalty shootout.
Kawempe Muslim have enjoyed a strong record against Wakiso Hill and will also benefit from home advantage as they seek a place in the last four.
The league champions are chasing a domestic double this season, having already secured the 2025-26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League title.
Meanwhile, defending champions Amus College face a difficult challenge as they travel to Jeph International Playground to take on She Maroons.
She Maroons were runners-up in the 2023 edition and now view the FUFA Women’s Cup as their only realistic chance of silverware this season.
The Luzira-based side defeated fellow Women Super League outfit Makerere University WFC 2-1 to reach the quarter-finals.
Amus College, on the other hand, showed great resilience in the previous round, forcing a 2-2 with FUFA Women Elite League side URA WFC before progressing via a penalty shootout.
Notably, no team has successfully defended the FUFA Women’s Cup title since the competition was introduced.
Amus College now have the opportunity to make history by becoming the first side to retain the trophy.
Kampala Queens and Lady Doves have already booked their places in the semi-finals following victories on Saturday.
According to the tournament regulations, the team with the most goals at the end of normal time will advance to the semi-finals.
If the match ends level, extra time consisting of two 15-minute halves will be played.
Should the teams remain tied after extra time, the winner will be determined through a penalty shootout.
