Kampala Queens, Kawempe Muslim Set Up Historic FUFA Women’s Cup Final

Wednesday, June 17

Lady Doves 0-2 Kampala Queens (Agg: 0-4)

Kawempe Muslim 3-0 Amus College (Agg: 6-0)

Kampala Queens FC and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have booked their places in the 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup final after overcoming Lady Doves and Amus College respectively in the semi-finals.

The upcoming final will be historic, as neither side has ever won the competition. Whichever team emerges victorious will lift the FUFA Women’s Cup for the first time in its history.

This year’s final is scheduled to be played on Sunday, June 21, at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.

Over the two-legged semi-finals, Kampala Queens eliminated Lady Doves with a convincing 4-0 aggregate victory, while Kawempe Muslim swept aside defending champions Amus College 6-0 on aggregate to set up a mouthwatering final showdown.

Kampala Queens secured a 2-0 victory over Lady Doves in the second leg on Wednesday afternoon, having registered the same scoreline in the first leg at Lugogo.

Just as in the first leg, Kamiyat Naigaga and Joanitah Ainembabazi were on target once again, each scoring a goal to send the Queens of Soccer into the final for the first time in the club’s history.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim completed another dominant display against Amus College, winning 3-0 in the return leg at Kawempe after recording an identical victory away from home in the first leg.

Jovia Nakagolo, Samalie Nakacwa, and Agnes Nabukenya found the back of the net as the Valley Warriors sealed a comprehensive 6-0 aggregate triumph.

Having suffered a 1-0 defeat to Amus College in last year’s FUFA Women’s Cup final, Kawempe Muslim gained sweet revenge with two commanding victories over the defending champions and now remain on course to complete a domestic double this season.

Amus College’s elimination also means they will not defend their title, extending a remarkable trend in the competition’s history, as no club has ever successfully retained the FUFA Women’s Cup.

All eyes will now turn to Kadiba on Sunday, where either Kampala Queens or Kawempe Muslim will make history by lifting their maiden FUFA Women’s Cup trophy.
